AI Essentials for Small Business Owners Course
A practical, no-fluff, confidence-building overview to using AI safely, responsibly, and effectively in your small business. Each cohort has four weekly sessions; see chart below for dates. Move confidently from theory to hands-on experience in each session in key areas to help you grow your business.
A Course Designed for Real Small Business Owners
AI is moving fast, and most small business owners feel caught between curiosity, dabbling, and overwhelm. This course gives you a clear, safe, and supportive place to start. No jargon. No hype. No pressure.
AI Essentials for Small Business Owners is a friendly, practical starting point for understanding how AI works, how to use it responsibly, and how to apply it to the real work you do every day as a small business owner.
You’ll learn in a small group, practice with hands‑on exercises, and walk away from each class with something you can actually use.
What You’ll Learn
Each session builds your skills step by step, focusing on clarity, safety, and practical application.
You’ll explore:
- AI safety, privacy, and responsible use
- Creating your AI strategy
- How AI tools work (in plain English)
- Prompt engineering for stronger, more predictable responses
- Overview of several AI platforms, and where each excels
- Content creation, research, image creation
- Video and audio tools for small business
- Vibe coding
- Practical ways to save time and improve your workflow
This course is about improving your game — not becoming an AI expert overnight.
Course Format

- 30 minutes of guided learning Clear explanations and real examples. Not a dull lecture.
- 30 minutes of hands‑on practice You’ll create a real deliverable matched to that session.
